My name is Julie Simmons and like so many people, I spent months desperately trying to lose weight. I never used to have an issue with my weight at all because I regularly swam, walked and was generally pretty active chasing around my two kids!

However, in January 2008, after being a work at home mum for so many years I started working as a receptionist for a local law firm. Even though I enjoyed the work and social interaction, the problem was I didn't have any time to exercise and eat well to keep myself slim anymore.

I slowly began to gain weight and due to a lack of exercise and stress eating, I gradually put on 25 pounds over the course of 9 weeks and things didn't get any better from there.
